These terms govern your use of ecospruce.ca and any cleaning services provided by Ecospruce Cleaning and Maintenance Ltd. ("EcoSpruce," "we," "us," "our"). By using our website or booking a service, you agree to these terms.

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to anyone who visits ecospruce.ca, requests a quote, books a service, or otherwise interacts with EcoSpruce. If you are booking on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these terms.

2. Our services

EcoSpruce provides residential and commercial cleaning services in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. The scope of each service is agreed upon in advance through our quote and confirmation process. We use non-toxic, plant-based cleaning products unless specifically requested otherwise by the client.

3. Quotes and pricing

Quotes are estimates based on the information you provide. The final price may be adjusted if the actual conditions differ significantly from what was described (for example, larger square footage, heavier soiling, or additional rooms). We will notify you before making any adjustment that exceeds 10% of the original quote.

4. Booking, rescheduling, and cancellation

• Booking is confirmed once you accept a quote and we confirm a date and time.
• Rescheduling or cancelling with at least 24 hours' notice incurs no fee.
• Cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service, since we have already dispatched the crew.
• No-shows (inability to access the property at the scheduled time with no prior notice) may be charged in full.

5. Access and safety

You are responsible for providing safe, legal access to the property and disclosing any hazards, pets, alarms, or special conditions. We reserve the right to decline or terminate service where our crews' safety or dignity is at risk.

6. Payment

Payment is due after each service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept e-transfer, credit card, and — for commercial clients — net-30 invoicing. Overdue invoices may be subject to a 2% monthly interest charge.

7. Our satisfaction guarantee

If you are not satisfied with any part of a completed cleaning, notify us within 24 hours and we will return to re-clean the affected area at no additional charge. This guarantee does not extend to refunds, compensation, or services beyond the original scope.

8. Damage and liability

EcoSpruce carries commercial liability insurance and WorkSafeBC coverage. If our team damages your property while performing a service, report it to us within 48 hours and we will investigate and resolve the matter fairly.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for that specific service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Items we will not clean

For safety and liability reasons, our crews do not clean:

• Biohazards (blood, bodily fluids, rodent or pest infestations, mould beyond surface level)
• Unsecured firearms, illegal substances, or hazardous chemicals
• Exteriors, roofs, or anything requiring a ladder taller than a standard step-ladder
• Pet waste or litter boxes (unless explicitly included in your service scope)

10. Use of the website

You agree to use ecospruce.ca lawfully and not to:

• Interfere with the website's operation or security
• Attempt to access areas of the website not intended for public use
• Use automated tools to scrape or copy content in bulk
• Submit false information through our forms

11. Intellectual property

All content on ecospruce.ca — text, images, logos, and the EcoSpruce name — is the property of Ecospruce Cleaning and Maintenance Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by Canadian copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce or redistribute it without permission.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in BC. Any dispute arising from these terms or our services will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
